Víkingur Ólafsson konzertiert in der Elbphilharm

Víkingur Ólafsson konzertiert in der Elbphilharmonie und gleichzeitig im Peppermint Park Studio in Dolby Atmos.

In Kooperation mit @steinwayandsons , @klavierhaus_doell und @neumann.berlin durften wir am 24.6. Gastgeber für ein besonderes Event sein.

Auf einem Steinway Spirio R, dem neuen selbstspielenden Flügel von Steinway, der mittels Datenübertragung in Echtzeit die Noten, welche auf einem anderen Steinway Spirio R gespielt werden, detailgetreu wiedergeben kann, war Víkingur Ólafsson mit den Goldbergvariationen bei uns im Aufnahmeraum zu Gast, obwohl er gerade in der Elbphilharmonie konzertierte.

Unter dem Motto Steinway Spirio meets Dolby Atmos und umfassender Mikrofonierung durch Neumann Berlin gab es dazu parallel die Möglichkeit in der Regie 1 dem Klang des Flügels unter dem Aspekt des Immersive listening zu lauschen.

Wir bedanken uns bei allen Partnern und Gästen für diesen sehr gelungenen Abend.

Víkingur Ólafsson gives a concert in the Elbphilharmonie and at the same time in the Peppermint Park Studio in Dolby Atmos.

In cooperation with @steinwayandsons , @klavierhaus_doell and @neumann.berlin we hosted a special event on June 24th.

On a Steinway Spirio R, the new self-playing grand piano from Steinway, which can reproduce the notes played on another Steinway Spirio R in real time using data transmission, Víkingur Ólafsson was our guest in the recording room with the Goldberg Variations, even though he was performing in concert at the Elbphilharmonie.

Under the motto Steinway Spirio meets Dolby Atmos and with comprehensive miking by Neumann Berlin, there was also the opportunity to listen to the sound of the grand piano under the aspect of immersive listening in control room 1.

We would like to thank all our partners and guests for this very successful evening.

Studio 2 - A place to realize ideas in an uncomplicated and affordable way.

The concept of Studio 2 is to be immediately connected to the entire infrastructure of Peppermint Park Studios with just one (Thunderbolt) cable and to be able to work with any DAW.

The studio has a wide selection of instruments such as Fender Rhodes, CS 80, or Prophet 10, as well as classic outboard gear like Chandler TG 1, Eventide H3000, or Manley EQs. Additionally, our 2” and ¼” tape machines are connected, calibrated, and ready for use.

So if you need a place to work quickly on musical projects in a great atmosphere, Studio 2 is the right place for you!
